Vänsterpartiet is a socialist and feminist party on an ecological basis. The three pillars are equally important, reinforce each other and shape our positions on all the issues we face. We protect democracy, human rights and children’s rights. We are against racism and other forms of discrimination. The climate transition is urgent and requires prioritization.

In recent decades, major changes have taken place in Swedish society. Economic disparities and relative child poverty have increased, creating a segregated society with conflicts and unequal growing conditions for children and young people. We believe that it is wrong for our taxes to go to the profits of private companies. More and more of the public sector has passed into private ownership, which reduces the influence and decision-making power of all citizens. We want to keep parts of our common welfare under public auspices and also reunalize activities that have been privatized. We want to work for greater economic and social equality between people.

Vänsterpartiet’s election platform is aimed at those who have the right to vote in the municipal elections in Karlstad 2022. Whether you vote early or go to the polling station, it is important that you use your democratic right to influence political decisions.
